Dual-Credit High School/College Courses

Earn High School and College Credit with the Same Class

If you're a junior- or senior-level student in select states and you are planning to go to college, dual-credit courses can give you a jump start on your degree—plus save you money on your college education.

These college-level courses, provided by Axia College of University of Phoenix, enable you to earn both high school and college credit. Please call toll-free 866.883.0522 to speak with an Olympus High School representative, who can review your transcripts and help you select the appropriate dual-credit courses.

• Complete up to 12 college credits while earning high school credits (called "dual-credit" courses).* Each course provides one unit of high school credit and three college credits.**
• Develop skills for further academic success.
• Learn online in structured courses that are not self-paced and last nine weeks.
• Receive individual instruction and support from University of Phoenix instructors who will respond to your questions and concerns within 24 hours. They are available for phone appointments and can be contacted by email at any time.
• Register for dual-credit courses at any time. (Courses have regularly scheduled start dates.)

*If you are registering for high school or dual-credit courses through Olympus High School and plan to transfer the credits to another high school, you should first ensure that the credits will be accepted by that high school and meet its requirements. It is recommended that you have an administrator at that high school sign the Commitment to Grant Credit form. You should retain the signed form for your records.

**College credit granted by University of Phoenix. Transferability of credit is at the discretion of the receiving institution. It is the student's responsibility to confirm whether or not credits earned at University of Phoenix will be accepted by another institution of the student's choice. Up to 12 college credits are accepted by University of Phoenix depending upon the degree program selected.
